• Monte Tots preschool is a licensed, loving, nurturing, and inclusive preschool program for pre-K children ages 30 months to 6 years.  Our early learning center provides a safe, healthy and understanding environment designed to promote each child’s individual social, emotional, physical, and cognitive development.

• We embrace a Montessori-based philosophy and believe that children are born ready to learn. Our preschool caregivers strive to create a pre-K learning environment that is safe, stimulating and encouraging. 

• The Early Learning Expectations (ELE) contained in the Michigan Early Childhood Standards of Quality (2013) serve as the foundation for our pre-K curriculum. 

• Our child-led curriculum includes "Discovery & Enrichment" time which is customized to your child's age and interests. Discovery time supports the Early Childhood Standards of Quality while providing your child with the freedom to choose what they want to learn each day without the pressures of traditional curriculum styles.  Our preschool teachers draw from the student's interests and inspiration to create and change the classroom environment.

• As caregivers and educators, our mission is to provide a safe and developmentally appropriate learning environment, while fostering a child’s natural desire to explore, discover, create, and learn.

• Our preschool promotes a climate of acceptance and inclusion by enrolling children of varying cultural, ethnic, linguistic, and racial backgrounds who have a range of abilities and special needs. 

• Monte Tots is more than a preschool.  It is a family where we partner with you in your child's growth and development.  We want to know your goals for your child.  We invite you into our school for guest reading, to help host classroom parties, and for open observation hours.
